Our little mama

Caitlyn has become a sweet little mama. She treats her stuffed animals like her babies, making little beds for them to take naps in, letting me know when one of them gets hurt, putting her hats on them so they're not cold, taking them for walks in her stroller...you name it. Last Saturday she decided that Pooh bear really needed a diaper.

After sitting with him for a while on her favorite perch (our fireplace hearth), she decided his diaper needed to be changed. So she had Quinn help her get the wipes and wiped his bottom and everything!
Pooh bear is lucky. This is Baby.

Baby didn't fare as well as Pooh. Caitlyn is in the process of potty training (and doing pretty well, bless her heart!) and decided a while back that Baby needed to sit on the potty while Mommy wasn't looking. Unfortunately she sat Baby IN the potty instead of ON the potty. So in the same traumatic day, Baby spent some time in the toilet and in the washing machine.

We love our little mama!

  1. potty training. That is the earliest I have ever heard of a baby being potty trained (your little girl, not the pooh bear or baby doll). Your Caitlyn must be way advanced. Has she already shown interest in not being in diapers?

  2. Hi Rach! When I say "process" of potty training, I mean "process"! She started showing major interest in using the potty as soon as she learned the sign for potty at about 15 months, so we bought her a potty seat. The problem is, she only knew how to tell us when she had gone, not when she needed to go. So we've got her on the potty in time quite a bit, but it's not consistent. She's just now starting to tell us when she needs to go, but only occasionally. What I really need to do is get a good book on potty training because I'm probably going about it all wrong since we've just been going with the flow so far.

  4. Caitlyn is so cute. I was surprised that Grace likes to carry around her littles dolls which I've never seen from Hogan. Boys and girls are so different from their early ages. You'll find it out pretty soon!! I'm so excited for you.
